Between Meals: Recoleta

It's still sweltering in the Southern Hemisphere; so for my first day in BSAS, I went to the neighborhood that I thought would have the most wealthy residents bent on keeping their Prada sweat-free and thus the most shade: Recoleta.

It's definitely shady and serene, with lots of stately architecture surrounded by imposing gates.

I found a little modern architecture thrown into the mix and backed by a skyscraper:

The highlight of the day, however, was this bunch of not-so-intimidating "guard dogs"...
